Bautista Vich Stud, founded in 1991 both by Mr Guillermo Bautista Vich and Mr Pedro Bautista Vich, is dedicated to breeding and training purebred Arabian and Spanish horses.
It is built-up on a 22 ha property located in the heart of Mallorca, out of a village called Inca (Find it on Google Maps).
As regards purebred Arabian horses, we started our breeding programme based on a genetic capital composed of twelve broodmares, mostly proceeding from Yeguada Militar de Jerez and the no less prestigious Yeguada La Aldara owned by Mr Diego Méndez Moreno.
Later on, pure Polish Arabians aroused Guillermo's interest and he decided to acquire several horses, such us Norman, Avenida, Zguba, Elton and Siewka at the Polish State Studs: Bialka, Michalow and Janow Podlaski.
With these mares and stallions we are breeding pure Spanish Arabians, pure Polish Arabians and Spanish-Polish Arabians.
This great interest on pure Polish Arabians has its roots on one the best stallions in the history of Arabian breeding: MONOGRAMM (Negatraz x Monogramma), sire of many champions such us Zagrobla, Emmona, Kwestura, Ekstern, etc. We adquired breedings of Monogramm back ni 1997, which resulted in four foals: Eurogramma, Electric Siluete, Fotogramma and Fath Ali Sha.
With the passing of years, we have introduced new bloodlines in our breeding programme. We have used stallions such as Khidar (All Nations Cup Senior Champion Stallion and double World Reserve Champion Stallion), Padrons Psyche (who has been awarded three ECAHO sire stars) and Om el Extreem (2005 Spanish National Champion Stallion and Best Head in Paris at the 2001 World Championships).
In 2009, we have had several foals sired by the world-wide known stallion WH JUSTICE (Magnum Psyche x Vona Sher-Rena) and by Kalisto Cathare (Padrons Immage x Kaura), full sibling to the World Champion Mare IM Kadidja Cathare.
Novelero XVII (Faraón XXVI x Novelera X)
As regards purebred Spanish horses, Bautista Vich Stud began its breeding programme with seven broodmares of outstanding size and conformation, most of them bred by Yeguada Militar de Jerez, together with an exceptional bay stallion bred by Mr. José Luis de la Escalera that was named Novelero XVII, who sadly died some years ago.
Currently, our head stallion is Omni (a qualified breeder) bred by Mr Benito Sierra. However, he is losing ground in the benefit of his own glorious son JUGLAR XXVI, 2008 Mallorca Champion Jr Stallion, 2008 Balearic Islands Jr Champion Stallion and 2008 SICAB winner of the Silver Medal in the 3 year-old class -where 45 colts participated. We already have a wonderful 2009 foal sired by JUGLAR XXVI.
Year after year, we have been gathering broodmares bred by Plaza de Armas (such as the qualified breeder Armas Peineta, dam of JUGLAR XXVI) and by Mr Miguel Ángel de Cárdenas Osuna (such as the qualified breeder Giralda-Mac).
The quality of our products has been proven by uncountable awards won both at regional level in the Balearic Islands and Mallorca Championships and at national level in very important championships such as Equus Catalonia, Ecumad, Equisur and the Spanish National Championship, where our horses have played a very good role in their respective classes.
This meticolous work, as well as our careful control at genetic level makes it possible for us to offer our customers a selection of great quality horses both as regards their conformation and their optimal skills for dressage.
